Faller 217 from 1952

This is faller's 1952 model 217 . It was made only for one year. It is extremely rare today.

I was so lucky to buy it on the Internet on march 2016. I have never seen a second one in my life.

It looks very different from the picture in the cataloque. The scale of the façade is too high to combine with Preiser figures and Wiking cars.

Now I understand why they made very litlle of them and made a different more h0 model in 1953.

That is also why I used plastic Siku cars and figures in the pictures. The pink Porsche from Siku is also extremely rare.

The fuel dispenders are more light blue than on the 1953 model and they have metal pins to attach them to the wooden floor.

On the roof their is original no plastic T sign as was added on the 1953 model.

Notice the four litlle windows on the left corner of the backside.

The fuel dispenders on the 1952 model are fastened with metal pins

This is Faller's second model 217. It was only made between 1953 and 1956 .

You can see that Faller changed and lowered the façade to the h0 scale.

Its architecture reminds me of a big red toadstool " fly agaric ". Underneath the cap you felt very save.

It is also made of wood, cardboard and paper . The plastic fuel dispenders are more dark bleu and have plastic pins to attach them to the floor.

On the roof a plastic T sign is missing. T from Tankstelle.

The cars are all from Wiking and the wooden figure is from Preiser.
